A MAN admitted he was over the drink drive limit as soon as he was stopped by police.
Elliot Robinson, 28, of James Street, Oswaldtwistle, pleaded guilty to driving with excess alcohol on Stonebridge Lane. He was fined £400 with £85 costs and £40 victim surcharge and banned from driving for 20 months.
Tracy Yates, prosecuting, said Robinson was seen driving erratically in the early hours.
When he was stopped the first thing he said to the officer was: "I'm over the limit mate."
