A man has appeared before Blackburn magistrates charged with sexual assault on a woman.
Heathcliffe Christian, 51, of Brook Mill, Threadfold Way, Bolton, pleaded not guilty to the offence which was allegedly committed in Clitheroe on April 23.
He was committed on bail to the Crown Court where he will next appear on April 8.
- In February 2020, Mr Christian, 52, of Brook Mill, Threadfold Way, Bolton, had the allegation dropped.
A legal representative for Mr Christian: said: "We are delighted to announce that following protracted proceedings the Crown Prosecution Service have decided to offer no evidence against Mr Christian and as such His Honour Judge Parry at Preston Crown Court formally recorded a 'not guilty' verdict in the matter.
"It is now hoped that Mr Christian will be able to put what can rightly be described as a harrowing ordeal behind him."
