A PENSIONER rode his motorcycle into the back of a car.
Police and paramedics were called to Blackburn Road, Darwen, following the Ford Fiesta and Honda motorcycle crash shortly after 11.30am today.
The rider of the motorcycle, a 70-year-old man, sustained minor spine injuries in the smash near a Shell garage.
Inspector Damian Pemberton said incident was being treated as an accident.
He said: "We were called to Darwen, shortly after 11.40am.A motorcyclist has gone into the back of a car and come off the Honda motorbike.
"He is a 70-year-old man and has sustained minor injuries and paramedics have been sent to the scene as a precautionary measure."
An ambulance spokesman said: "We were called to Blackburn Road, Darwen, at 11.38am. Paramedics are treating a man in his early 70s."
