FIRE crews spent three hours at a fire at an empty property in Bacup.

The incident happened last night on Onchan Drive at 8.26pm.

Chris Howarth, watch manager for Bacup said: "The cause of the fire is under investigation as we don't know how it was started.

"Nobody was injured in the incident as there was no-one in the house.

"It was a detached property so there was no danger of it spreading.

"There were two engines from Bacup and Rawtenstall at the scene."
