AS PART of ongoing support for a homeless charity that helps the homeless, a fundraising walk is being organised by a pub.

On Sunday staff from the Clog and Billycock will accompany avid ramblers on a jaunt around the picturesque village of Pleasington, to raise money for Community Spirit.

A pub spokesperson said: ““The walk is free to join, and before setting off there will be complimentary butties and brews for those taking part. All we ask is for a small donation to help people who are homeless or facing food poverty.”

The pub has been supporting Community Spirit for some time, and each month they donate 80 meals and desserts to help those sleeping rough in Blackburn

Chair and co-founder of Community Spirit, Neil Mistry, said: “We are delighted with the ongoing support of the Clog and Billycock.

“The motto of Community Spirit is – to give a little to those who have nothing means a lot - and those we help bear witness to this on a regular basis.”

Sandwiches and brews will be served from 10am with the walk starting at 10.30am. To register call 01254 201163.
