THE FAMILY of IS schoolgirl Shamima Begum have been notified that the Home Office intends to deprive her of her British citizenship.

In a statement, the family's lawyer said the family were 'disappointed' with the decision.

He said: "Family are very disappointed with the Home Office's intention to have an order made depriving Shamima of her citizenship.

"We are considering all legal avenues to challenge this decision."

Mother-of-three Begum, who gave birth to her third child at the weekend, left east London with two friends in 2015 to join the terrorist group.

She was partly inspired by videos of fighters beheading hostages and partly by other propaganda films showing the "good life" IS could offer.

Since she has been there, her two older children have died.
