Emergency services are dealing with a serious crash south of Carlisle.
Police, fire and ambulance crews are currently at the scene, which is close to the Crown Inn in Ivegill.
A spokeswoman for the North West Ambulance Service confirmed the incident was believed to be serious.
Two ambulances were called to the scene, alongside a rapid response vehicle and an operational commander.
Emergency services were called to the incident at 2.17pm.
A spokeswoman for Cumbria Police said: "Police were called at approximately 2:30pm to a three vehicle road traffic collision at the crossroads near The Crown Pub , Broadfield on the road between Ivegill and Durdar near Carlisle.
"Police are still at the scene.
"All four roads of the cross roads are closed please seek alternative routes."
