A COUSIN of The Queen has opened a new £4million Christian Retreat centre at Stonyhurst College, the Roman Catholic independent school near Clitheroe
Lord Nicholas Windsor, the great grandson of King George V, opened Theodore House.
The new Christian Heritage Centre will be a hub for study, retreats, Christian renewal and for the training of the laity in Christian leadership.
Lord Nicholas Windsor, who became a Catholic in 2001, said: “It is a very exciting moment. Theodore House will be a centre of excellence in the fields of formation, study and retreats.”
The former corn mill was blessed at Friday’s ceremony by the Rt Rev. John Arnold, the Catholic Bishop of Salford, and the Rt Rev. Julian Henderson, the Anglican Bishop of Blackburn.
