A MAN who allegedly sexually assaulted two teenage girls is said to have told one of them he could get her work as a prostitute.

Noel Green allegedly groping both girls on separate occasions during the summer of last year.

It is claimed the 32-year-old approached one of the complainants, reached under her bra and touched her right breast.

Richard Haworth, prosecuting, told a jury at Preston Crown Court the defendant allegedly said to the complainant he could get work for her as a prostitute.

Mr Haworth said: “She would get good money, the defendant said, because she’s a ‘good-looking girl’.”

Mr Haworth said the defendant later threatened the complainant and told her, “Make sure you lock your door.”

The court heard Green asked the second complainant for a kiss.

Mr Haworth said: “He grabbed her and turned her around so her back was close to him.

“He tried to kiss her.

"He had hold of her right arm.

“She elbowed him and escaped.

"He was smirking at her.

“She went home and did not tell anyone.”

The court heard the defendant is alleged to have grabbed her breast.

Mr Haworth said the police were eventually contacted and Green was interviewed under caution.

The prosecutor said: “He admitted he made lewd comments but he denies touching the first complainant.

“He said she was a liar, she was telling lies about him.”

The court heard the first complainant’s bra was taken for analysis.

The right cup of the bra was tested and Green’s DNA was found on it.

Mr Haworth said: “They found the defendant’s DNA on a similar level to that of the complainants.

“If he did not have contact with her breast then his DNA would not have been there.

“He denies touching her breast.”

Mr Haworth said when the defendant was interviewed by police, he did not mention “any possible occasion or opportunity when his DNA could have been deposited in the cup.”

Green, of Midland Street, Accrington, denies four counts of sexual assault.

The trial continues.
