COUNCIL chiefs have named one of their gritters after TV star Holly Willoughby - after hearing she was jealous of co-star Phillip Schofield.
Lancashire Councty Council named their newest gritter 'Holly Chilloughby' - her co-star's gritter 'Phillip Snowfield' is based in Shropshire.
The council revealed the new name on social media today.
Last year the council announced it was lowering the road temperature at which the lorries loaded with salt and grit would be sent out.
MP Graham Jones said it was a 'a risky cut' and 'a disaster waiting to happen'.
Last winter the gritters are sent out on the main roads when temperatures are due to fall to 1.0 Celsius or below.
This winter they have only operated when the temperatures are predicted to be 0.5C. or below.
