SHOWHOMES at a new 217 house development in Great Harwood have been officially opened.

Lyndon Park, which is being built on land south of Harwood Lane close to the town centre, will feature a range of two, three and four bedroom homes.

The £40million project is being delivered by Keepmoat Homes in partnership with Hyndburn Council and planning permission was granted in 2017 before construction began last year.

Leader of the council Miles Parkinson said “I’m delighted to see this development taking place at a pace.

"It’s refreshing and reassuring to see demand for new, quality homes in a great location."

Fourteen residents have already moved in the their homes on a part of the estate which has been completed, with the full project expected to be fully-developed by 2023.
