A HUNT has been launched to find the owner of a lottery ticket worth a life-changing quarter-of-a-million pounds.

The appeal to find the winning owner was launched on yesterday afternoon after a spokesman from the Health Lottery revealed the £250,000 ticket, which was drawn from the second Mega Raffle of 2019, had been purchased from a Tesco Extra store in Accrington.

Martin Ellice from The Health Lottery said: “A quarter of a million pounds is a life-changing sum of money and we can’t wait to share the great news with the lucky Lancashire winner.

“We’re urging everyone to check their tickets and share the news with friends and family, as one of you could be the winner of a quarter of a million pounds.”

For every £1 entry into a Health Lottery weekly draw, buyers are automatically entered into the monthly Mega Raffle draw with one guaranteed winner of £250,000.

The draw in which the winning ticket was chosen took place on Friday night, January 1 with the next draw scheduled for March 1.

Mr Ellice added: “The Health Lottery has raised over £105million to support local charities in Great Britain.

“Without help from our customers this wouldn’t be possible.”

To date, over £10.3 million has been raised through The Health Lottery in the North West region, supporting over 296 local community projects.

It is an independent British lottery scheme which managed 12 regional lotteries across Great Britain.

The unclaimed and winning ticket number is EH010209734, and potential winners are asked to visit the Health Lottery website or to call the helpline on 08443755555.
