A voluntary service office has opened to allow the community to engage with them.
Monday January 28 saw the official opening of the new Burnley, Pendle and Rossendale Council for Voluntary Service office in Nelson town centre. The Mayor of Pendle was invited to officially open the office to the public, local organisations, local charities and community groups. The Mayor’s speech touched on the importance of BPRCVS having a physical location in the Pendle area. The office will enable BPRCVS to have a permanent base in Pendle which will allow staff to engage more effectively with the people and communities of Pendle.
Faith leaders, community leaders, local councillors, local professionals including police and GPs all attended to see the office for themselves. During the official opening the Mayoress of Pendle presented BPRCVS with a cheque for £500.00 towards the Young Carers project.
