A PERSON was treated by paramedics after a microwave sparked a minor house fire.
Firefighters from Rawtenstall were called to reports of a fire at a home on Newchurch Road, Rawtenstall at around 5pm last night.
When they arrived they found the lounge area of the property slightly smoke logged and upon investigation found the incident involved a microwave in the kitchen.
A spokesman said: "Firefighters assisted a casualty out of the property. They used a ventilation unit to clear the property of smoke and the casualty received a precautionary check up from ambulance crews at the scene.
"Crews were in attendance approximately 45 minutes."
