THE show homes at a new 205 house development in Blackburn with Darwen has been officially opened by the borough's Mayor.

Cllr Pat McFall cut the ribbon on the display complex of The Sycamores off Gib Lane in Blackburn.

It comprises examples of the five-bedroom detached ‘Mayfair’, the four-bedroom ‘Marlow’ and the four-bedroom detached “Wellington”. Three bedroomed houses are also available.

The Sycamores, developed by Story Homes, is part of the Gib Lane Masterplan to build 700 homes in that part of South-West Blackburn,

Cllr Mc Fall aid: “I was pleased to open the show house at Story Homes’The Sycamores development, and see first-hand how the homes look. It was a great opportunity to meet their team and customers, and find out more about the homes.”

Richard Kitson, Head of Sales at Story Homes, said: “We’ve received a lot of interest in The Sycamores and have released new plots to meet demand."

Joanne and Daniel McKinlay attended the opening event having reserved a four-bedroom detached Warwick at The Scyamores.

She said: “It is great to see the development come to life. We’re excited to move into our family home and making it our own.
