A POTTER has asked for help in making ceramic flowers for a D-Day garden.
Lesley Woods, who runs classes at The Down To Earth Pottery in Whalley, is looking for volunteers to help make 2,500 ceramic sea thrift flowers. The garden is to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Normandy Landings in 1944.
The ceramics will then be installed at the Royal Hospital of Chelsea during the Chelsea Flower Show in May.
Mrs Woods said: "If we get a group of willing people working together, we will make 2,500 in no time. I am offering lots of got drinks, home-made cakes and biscuits and a delicious lunch in return."
If anybody would like help out on the first day on Thursday February 21, Mrs Woods can be contacted through her email, lesleywoods19@hotmail.com or via mobile 07971 754823.
