ELECTRICITY North-West will complete the reinstatement the pavement of Blackburn's Church Street on Friday after its engineers repaired an underground cable fault.
They were called out on Tuesday afternoon after the problem affected power to Moorey's health store and the HSBC Bank on the town centre thoroughfare.
The urgent repair, which required a mini-digger to be used, restored full electricity supply to both businesses by the end of the day.
An Electricity North-West spokeswoman said: "We restored supplies to customers at 11.40pm on Tuesday and engineers are onsite carrying out a full reinstatement which they will complete by Friday."
