This picture shows the Duchess of Hamilton steam locomotive arriving at Blackburn Railway Station in 1991.
The train was due to take a special excursion from Doncaster to Appleby. Onlookers can be seen taking pictures from the opposite platform.
The last British steam locomotive to be built was in 2008. In 2018, Steam locomotive 45699 Galatea passed through Blackburn as part of a special showing.
The tour saw the steam locomotive go through Preston, Blackburn, Clitheroe and Settle on its way to Carlisle giving the people of Blackburn a glimpse of the past.
