WAR medals have been stolen during a burglary.
The house on Glendale Drive, Mellor, was targeted, at around 8pm on January 17.
Six Second World War medals, including a border's regiment cap badge and possibly an end of war medal, were taken during the break-in.
Blackburn's neighbourhood policing team said in a Facebook appeal: "We are appealing for information after a burglary at a house in Mellor on January 17. Stolen in the burglary were six Second World War medals, this is understandably very upsetting for the victim and their family.
"If anyone has any information regarding this crime or sees any similar medals being advertised for sale then please contact us on 101 and quote log LC-20190117-1189. "
