Blackburn's new £500,000 luxury burger bar opened to the public at the weekend.

Frankie's, which is located in the shell of the former Pitcher's Bar in Salford, welcomed its first hungry customers at 11am on Saturday.

Kitted out like an American Diner, the menu includes five different types of beef burger (all Halal certified), four chicken burger options, wings, salads and veggie burgers, and a selection of sides, including caramelised onions and sweet potato fries.

Frankie's also boasts a small kids menu, an extensive breakfast menu with plenty of veggie options, and a killer dessert menu.

But according to staff, the most popular option on opening day was the Moody Angus, a burger that comes topped with caramelised onions, Monterey jack cheese and a secret sauce.

Prices range from £3.99 for a classic chicken burger, to £9.99 for a triple beef burger.

A spokesperson for the burger bar said: "We have strong belief in our fresh, healthy and amazing tasting food and want to bring that experience to Blackburn."

Frankie's will open seven days a week from 11am until 10.30pm.

And in case anyone was wondering, the Ferrero Rocher milkshakes are to die for.
