TRAINS between Blackburn and Preston, Colne, York and Manchester have been delayed after a man was seen on the railway line at Accrington.
A National Rail spokesman said all the lines were blocked after the man was seen just before 12.30pm on Friday.
British Transport Police tweeted they were dealing with a man 'in crisis and in a position of danger'.
The tweet said: "British Transport Police officers are with him and we are requesting a place of safety to take him to with Lancashire Care."
The National Rail spokesman said: "Train services running through these stations will be delayed by up to 35 minutes.
"Disruption is expected until 1.30pm.
"Thanks for your patience with the rail disruption."
