A MAN has appeared before Blackburn magistrates via video link from Australia to answer historic child sex offences.
James Rawstron, 69, of Freeman Street, Victoria, Melbourne, pleaded not guilty to two charges of committing an act of gross indecency with a girl under the age of 14 in Accrington between April 1978 and April 1980.
He was sent on bail to Burnley Crown Court where he will appear on February 20, again by video link.
