A DRUNKEN woman who made a 999 call from a phone box got through to the police instead of the ambulance service as she intended.
Blackburn magistrates heard when police attended Hannah Kasim was struggling to speak and started gesticulating in the faces of the officers.
Kasim, 30, of Maple Street, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in St Stephen's Avenue, Blackburn, on December 20.
She was given a conditional discharge for six months and ordered to pay £20 victim surcharge.
Duncan Nightingale, defending, said his client had not touched alcohol this year.
