TICKETS are selling fast for an afternoon of musical delight courtesy of the Houghton Weavers.

The band will be performing in concert with the 2nd Rossendale Scout Group Band at Accrington Town Hall on Sunday, February 3.

The event will help raise funds for the leading children’s charity fighting to end child abuse in the UK, National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC). It has been organised by the NSPCC’s Hyndburn and Rossendale fundraising branch.

Gillian Quinn, chair of the Rawtenstall district, said: “The NSPCC is a charity very close to our hearts and we are proud to do what we can to help support them as they in turn support so many vulnerable youngsters.”

Deborah Sefton, NSPCC fundraising manager, added: “This promises to be wonderful afternoon filled with music and laughter and I would urge you to get your ticket now before they all sell out."

The performance will start at 2.30pm, with doors opening at 2pm.

Tickets are £12.50 for the event, which will also include a raffle, and are available from Gillian Quinn on 01706 228029.
