A MOTHER-OF-ONE has blasted away her baby weight to become a yummy mummy with a body to be proud of.

Joining a slimming group just six weeks after giving birth to daughter, Jessica, Amy Musgrove, from Darwen, managed to take control of her eating habits and wave goodbye to nearly three stones of unwanted flab.

Miss Musgrove, whose daughter is now two, said: “Whilst pregnant I gained around three stones and was determined to get it off.

“Six weeks after having my daughter (and six weeks after continuously eating) I decided enough was enough.

“I felt rubbish and I knew eating rubbish wasn’t going to help so I joined the Weight Watchers Thursday morning meeting at Darwen Methodist Church.”

The 30-year-old was so determined to succeed that she took up walking and made sensible food choices, which eventually saw her dropping from a size 16 to a size 12 and is now thrilled to be shining with confidence at 11st 10lbs.

She said: “I feel happier and confident in myself and I’m determined to be proud of my body rather than ashamed.”
