A PENSIONER was taken to hospital after a car hit his mobility scooter.
The 86-year-old man suffered a broken leg after a BMW hit his scooter in Henry Street, Church, at around 2pm on December 29.
Officers, who only released the appeal today, said the incident took place near the Hyndburn Road junction.
A police spokesman said the man was taken to Royal Preston Hospital for treatment and is currently recovering.
The driver of the BMW, a 25-year-old man from Rishton did not suffer any serious injuries.
Sgt Lee Harris said: “We are urging anyone who saw the collision to come forward.
"We are particularly keen to trace anyone who might have dashboard mounted camera footage of the incident.
"If you have any information, please contact police."
