A HOME care provider says it is proud after it was rated outstanding for its care.

Ribble Homecare, based in Eanam Old Road, Blackburn, has been praised as exceptionally kind and caring following a Care Quality Commission inspection.

The service was given an overall rating of good which it also received for its safety, effectiveness, responsiveness and leadership.

It provides personal care to people living in their own houses and flats in the community.

It also provides a service to older people, people living with dementia, younger adults and people with a physical disability.

The service also specialises in providing care to people at the end of their life.

At the time of the two-day inspection on December 4 and December 5, there were 20 people being supported by the service.

Sharon Deborah Meaghan, registered manager at Ribble Homecare, said: "We are so proud of our management team and care staff to have achieved this recognition for the amazing work they do everyday

"We specialise in end of life care in the community where it is of the utmost importance to provide high quality care to the individual and their families at a very difficult time."
