Two people have been arrested following an early evening police chase.
At around 5.30pm on Wednesday January 2, police pursued a white Mercedes through Haslingden town centre following reports the vehicle was being driven erratically.
A man and a woman managed to flee the vehicle before officers caught up with and arrested them both.
A police spokesperson said: "The vehicle, a white Mercedes, was later found abandoned on Peel Street and a 27-year-old man from Haslingden, was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, disqualified driving, money laundering and being concerned in the supply of drugs."
The woman, a 19-year-old, also from Haslingden, was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the production of class B drugs.
Both remain in custody.
