DETECTIVES are hunting for thieves who broke into a recycling centre.
Police were called to Haslingden Recycling Centre shortly before 8am today following the break in.
A group of people climbed over a fence to gain access to Duckworth Clough Tip and then stole locks from rubbish containers, police said.
No one has been arrested but officers are continuing to investigate.
A police spokesman said: "We received reports of a break in at 7.50am this morning.
"Unknown offenders gained access to the recycling centre by climbing the fence.
"They have removed locks from the containers that contained rubbish and then fled the scene."
The Clough End Road centre was closed temporarily this morning but has since reopened.
Anyone who has seen anything should contact the police on 101 referencing log number 279 of December 28.
