Police are appealing for information after two men were taken to hospital following a late night crash.

Emergency services were called to the smash on West Bradford Road, Clitheroe, at around 11.15pm on Tuesday December 18.

A black Vauxhall Astra had crashed into a wall as it was heading towards Clitheroe, leaving two men in their twenties, with serious injuries.

The driver of the vehicle, a 27-year-old man from Chorley, was treated for back injuries at the scene and was later transported to Royal Blackburn Hospital.

A 24-year-old passenger was found to have a broken leg and was also suffering from back injuries.

He was taken by ambulance to Royal Preston Hospital.

A police spokesperson said: "We were called to attend a crash on West Bradford Road in which a car had collided with a wall.

"Two men were treated for back injuries and later taken to hospital."
