A fire spread to a garage at the back of a house after two cars were deliberately set alight.
Emergency services were called to the blaze on Blackburn Road, Oswaldtwistle just after 1am on Saturday (today).
A spokesperson for the fire service said that the fire, which they believe was started in one of the vehicles, quickly spread to a second car before setting a garage at the back of a terraced property on fire.
The spokesman said: "Firefighters in breathing apparatus had to use foam to extinguish the fire as it proved quite difficult to put out. We believe one of the tanks had ruptured. Luckily no-one was hurt as a result of the incident."
Police were called to the incident and the cause of the fire is now under investigation.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101.
