THE funeral of a 30-year-old man who died of a heart attack in his Cambodian hotel room will tomorrow.

It comes after William Magee, from Colne, was found dead in the Boeung Chhouk Guest House, south Cambodia, on November 27.

The online marketing expert was sent back home last week after more than £8,500 was raised through public donations towards the £6,700 travel cost.

The remaining funds have gone towards Mr Magee's funeral, which will take place at St Bartholomew’s Church, Colne from 12.30pm.

It will be followed by a wake at the Union Exchange, on Market Street, Colne, which was one of Mr Magee's favourite bars.

Stepsister Charlotte Bradshaw, 36, from Barrowford said the support has been amazing and added: "It has been such an overwhelming response and these acts of kindness help to restore your faith in humanity.”

The British national had been travelling overseas and spent several months in Cambodia training locals about online advertising and English.

He had previously worked for local marketing agencies, including Fifty2one Ltd in Clitheroe and RS Digital Ltd in Nelson.
