Two men in their twenties have been taken to hospital following a late night crash

Police, paramedics and firefighters were called to the incident on West Bradford Road, Clitheroe at around 11.15pm on Tuesday.

On arrival, emergency crews found a black Vauxhall Astra which had crashed into wall as it was heading towards Clitheroe.

The driver of the vehicle, a 27-year-old man from Chorley, was treated for back injuries at the scene and was later transported to Royal Blackburn Hospital.

A 24-year-old passenger was found to have a broken leg and was also suffering from back injuries.

He was taken by ambulance to Royal Preston Hospital.

A police spokesperson said: "We were called to attend a crash on West Bradford Road in which a car had collided with a wall.

"Two men were treated for back injuries and later taken to hospital.

"There were no other vehicles involved in the crash."

West Bradford Road was closed while emergency services dealt with the incident, but was reopened at 3am on Wednesday (today).
