APPRENTICE finalist Camilla Ainsworth has signed a deal with giant health food store Holland and Barrett for her nut milk brand.

The deal was announced on Monday just hours after the 22-year-old appeared on the BBC One final, with the entrepreneur describing the move as a 'game-changer' for her new brand.

Camilla said: "The product was originally created to fulfil a personal need when I was diagnosed as dairy intolerant and was wholly uninspired by the alternatives on the market.

"It wasn’t long before I had the idea to create my own ‘grab and go’ nut milk to cater for busy millennial lives, in a variety of different nut choices and flavours.

"Having the opportunity to meet Holland & Barrett’s MD Steve Carson through my time on The Apprentice was a real game changer for me and I couldn’t think of a better retailer to launch it with.”

Mr Carson appeared on the final episode of the show to help Lord Sugar judge his finalists and while Camilla lost out to Sian Gabbidon, she said she felt like a winner after securing the deal.

Available in a range of flavours, the first variety hitting shelves will be Salted Honeycomb Hazelnut flavour.

Mr Carson said: "M+LKPLUS is not only a truly great tasting vegan ‘m+lk’ but the brand Camilla has created is so strong that I immediately knew I wanted to be the first retailer to stock it."

M+LKPLUS will launch in Holland & Barrett stores nationwide from early January at £1.99 for 330 ml.
