HUNGRY thieves nicked two custard pies from a shop in Lower Darwen last night.

Chocolate, drinks and other fresh food were also reported to have been taken from Premier Express in Albert Place.

The shop have now released CCTV images of a gang of teenagers seen in the store at the time of the incident.

Zoe Wood, manager of Premier Express, said: "The CCTV shows a gang of teenagers coming into the store.

"They've taken lots of little items such as drinks and fresh food and chocolate from the chilled section.

"We're doing a stock check so we'll know more about what's been taken and the value of it then.

"It's not very often things like this happen as we have good CCTV that deters people." Ms Wood said the incident has been reported to the police.

She added: "The perpetrators don't realise were not a big corporate company they're taking from, just a hardworking business trying to get by.

"We'd just encourage anyone to come forward who knows these teenagers."

Police are investigating the incident.

"It was reported that five teenagers had entered the store and had taken two custard pies.
