MIDFIELD man Brad Carroll has left Kendal Town to sign for Workington.

Carroll had been a key part of the team this term but has elected to move across Cumbria to the Reds, who currently lie second from bottom in the EvoStik League Premier Division, one level above the Mintcakes.

The player scored in Kendal's game at fellow strugglers Skelmersdale United on Saturday, which was abandoned in the closing minutes with the score at 1-1 following a serious injury to home substitute Oliver van Veen.

The Sklemersdale player is understood to have been discharged from hospital later in the evening and was recovering at home.
