CHRISTMAS came early for local causes in Bolton when the Co-op handed out a £65,500 festive funding boost.
The money will be shared by 13 organisations including AFC Bolton, Good Companions Bolton, Pikes Lane Community Club, and Special Needs Under Fives Support.
Co-op members, receive a five per cent reward with one per cent going to local causes when they buy own-brand products. They have a say in how the money is allocated.Rebecca Birkbeck, a Co-op director said the groups help make Bolton "happier and healthier".
