FIREFIGHTERS were called to a chimney fire in Great Harwood last night.
Two crews from the town's fire station was sent to the incident on Blackburn Old Road at 8.11pm.
They spent 40 minutes putting out the fire and checking the building.
A spokesman for Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Firefighters from Great Harwood were called to reports of a chimney fire on Blackburn Old Road, Gt Harwood.
"Crews found a small chimney fire on arrival and then gained access to the chimney to check for further signs of fire spread. They were in attendance for approximately 40 minutes."
