The premises now house Wilko's. Further back in the picture you can spot Argos, which was latterly a Toys R Us store – now also closed.
Much has changed in the shopping centre in the last 20 years.
A huge Primark is now the shopping centre's flagship store.
The extended Mall opened its doors in 2010.
Strictly Come Dancing and Hollyoaks star Ricky Whittle officially opened the Primark store.
Hundreds of shoppers, keen to get a first glimpse of the development, started queuing in the early hours.
Primark was the first of several new units to open in the centre's £66million extension.
The new Costa Coffee and a relocated larger WH Smith opened at the same time.
