CUMBRIA POLICE has been targeting drug users and people who drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs in Ambleside and Bowness.
Officers visited a number of establishments in the area on December 7.
They arrested a 32-year-old man from Morecambe on suspicion of driving a vehicle when above the alcohol limit.
He was released under investigation.
With the help of sniffer dogs officers found two people in possession of drugs and were cautioned.
Inspector Paul Latham said the operation was conducted as a result of information and concerns from the public.
He said: "I’d like to thank the public and the licensed establishments for their continued support in such operations.
"Operations such as these will continue in order to prevent drug related crime."
Anyone with information on drug supply is asked to contact police on 101. Alternatively you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
