A JOGGER was threatened with a knife before he was chased by three men.
At around 5.20pm on December 6, the man was running through the Glen on Bacup Road in Stacksteads.
His path was blocked by three males and as the jogger asked to be let through one of them took out a knife and threatened him.
He was then chased through the Glen in the direction of Waterfoot.
Fortunatley the man was able to get away and the knife-wielding man ran back into the direction of Stacksteads with his two other companions.
The offenders are described as white males between the ages of 13 and 16, all three were of slim build and were potentially wearing school uniform.
A police spokesman said: “This is a very serious incident which took place during rush hour when there would been a lot of people in the area.
“Those who were witness to the incident or anyone who may have been driving through the Glen with dashcams are urged to contact police.”
