THE founder of the Wetherspoons pub chain Tim Martin will be at the bar in Blackburn banging the drum for a clean Brexit break next week.
He will be in The Postal Order on Darwen Street for an hour from 11am on Thursday December 13.
It is one of 100 visits to his pubs Mr Martin will make over two months to explain the advantages of leaving the European Union without a 'deal' to customers.
He said: “Now details of the appalling deal negotiated by the Downing Street kitchen cabinet have become clear, it is certain the UK will be financially far better off by choosing no deal.
“The hard mathematics demonstrate beyond doubt that 'no deal' leaves the public and the UK better-off. Theresa May’s deal is a mechanism for remaining trapped in an undemocratic and inefficient system.”
A Government spokesman said: “No deal is certainly not the best outcome for our economy, and our analysis shows that every sector, nation and region would be better off in our deal than in a no deal scenario.
“Our deal is the best deal available for jobs and our economy that allows us to honour the referendum and realise the opportunities of Brexit.”
