POLICE called to an incident in the early hours of the morning found a man in the street shouting racist abuse.
Blackburn magistrates heard Daniel James Shaw turned on the officers because he believed they should be concentrating on an earlier incident when he claimed men had tried to break into his sister's house.
Shaw, 36, of Tiber Avenue, Burnley, pleaded guilty to racially aggravated threatening behaviour and breach of post sentence supervision. He was fined £120 and ordered to pay £30 victim surcharge.
Catherine Allan, prosecuting, said police were called to Gannow Lane at 4.30am following a report of a disturbance.
They found Shaw on the street in an animated state shouting racial comments about men entering his house.
David Leach, defending, said Shaw was staying at his sister's house and there had been an incident when a number of men had tried to enter the house.
"When the police arrived he was out on the street and he was agitated," said Mr Leach.
"He felt the police should be dealing with the more serious incident of people trying to break into his sister's house."
