MOTORISTS are being warned to expect delays travelling on a busy road after a tree has blown down.

The large tree has landed on Keighley Road in Colne and fallen from land near Ball Grove Nature Reserve and has blocked both sides of the road.

Cllr Paul White, who represents Boulsworth ward, said: "It is a very busy main road into Yorkshire and into Lancashire the other way.

"It has stopped the buses running on that route and happened about half an hour ago.

"It does not look as if anybody has got injured and was quite lucky.

"It is very windy out there and because it is so large it may take a while to chop down."
