COMEDY legends Cannon and Ball are to play a special show at Darwen Library Theatre.
In An Evening with Cannon and Ball, the first half of the show will feature some of their most popular sketches and routines. Then the second half will see Tommy and Bobby talk about their career and take questions from the audience
The pair met in the early Sixties while both working as welders and went on to become one of Britain’s most popular double acts and had their own show on ITV.
At the height of their success, the duo have admitted that they were barely on speaking terms off-stage but have subsequently patched things up and now remain firm friends.
They went into the jungle in I’m A Celebrity in 2005 and Bobby Ball’s catchphrase Rock on Tommy remains instantly recognisable.
More recently Bobby has written the play The Dressing Room which is part sitcom and part variety show which has played at theatres around the country.
An Evening with Cannon and Ball, Darwen Library Theatre, Thursday, April 18. On sale 10am Friday from 0844 847 1664 or www.darwenlibrarytheatre.com
