A MAN who had spent all night drinking Jagermeister was seen at 9.30am, bare chested and causing traffic to slow down in Bank Top, Blackburn.

The town's magistrates heard Colin John Hamer went into a shop and became racially abusive when they refused to send for a taxi.

Hamer, 34, of Stonyhurst Road, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to racially aggravated threatening behaviour.

He was remanded on bail for the preparation of a pre-sentence report.

An application for a criminal behaviour order and a date for that contested mater will be set on December 12 when Hamer is sentenced.

The court heard Hamer was subject to three community orders, none of which he was complying with.

Duncan Nightingale, defending, said Hamer had been on the wagon for about six months but the evening before some friends came round and they started drinking Jagermeister.

"They drank through the night and at 9.30am he was very drunk indeed," said Mr Nightingale.

"He remembers going into the shop and asking for a taxi but he can't remember anything else."
