A PROPOSAL to build just under 50 homes in a town centre could be approved.
Housing agency Calico Homes has submitted plans to Burnley Council to build 45 properties in Padiham.
The five-phase plan includes 19 two-bedroom houses, four three-bedroom homes and 22 cottage apartments at Station Road and Calder Green Approach.
It was discussed by town councillors in a private meeting in Padiham Town Hall on Monday.
The plans are now expected to be discussed in a future development control committee at Burnley Town Hall.
