A family run tearoom in Haslingden has won a prestigious award.
Dearden Tea Rooms on Deardengate were crowned winners of the Lancashire Taste Best Cafe/Tearoom at the 2018 Lancashire Tourism Awards, which were held in October.
They beat off stiff competition from Brew + Bake in Preston, Middle Holly Cottage Tea Rooms in Forton and Shores Hey Farm Café in Burnley.
The Tea Rooms won Best New Business at the awards in 2014, and joint owners Chris Hood and Andrea Britland said they were thrilled to receive the Best Cafe award after entering the category for the last two years.
Andrea said: "After being crowned Best New Business in 2014. we've been finalists each year since the introduction of the Lancashire Taste Best Cafe/Tearoom category, and this year was our year as we came away as winners.
"Winning the award means a great deal to us both as we have work tirelessly over the last four years to build up our good reputation.
"We would like to thank our dedicated staff team and customers for their continued support."
