A TAKEAWAY could be hit with a £40,000 fine after immigration officers discovered two workers were found to be living in the UK illegally.
Immigration enforcement services raided Murry's takeaway in School Hill at 9pm on Saturday and discovered two men, aged 44 and 31, who were not permitted to be in the country.
Both men were taken away by officers and are currently being held in an immigration detention centre as authorities plan their removal from the country.

Checks showed the older man was a failed asylum seeker and the younger man was found to have overstayed his student visa.
Murry's has now been handed a Civil Penalty Referral Notice which warns that a financial penalty of up to £20,000 per illegal worker will be imposed unless the employers can demonstrate that appropriate right-to-work document checks were carried out, such as seeing a passport or Home Office document confirming permission to work.
