A DRIVER who was stopped by police and failed a roadside drugs test had his mum with him in the car.
Officers stopped a black Renault Clio on back Wigan Road this evening to find the man driving the vehicle was uninsured.
The man was then subjected to roadside drugs testing, which he failed.
His mother, who owned the vehicle, was also in the car and police reported her for allowing the car to be driven without insurance.
The woman was then found to have been disqualified from driving herself and her vehicle was seized.
Owners of cars seized by the police have to pay a 'release fee' of up to £200 plus £20 a day in storage fees to have the vehicle returned.
